Ultherapy, known as “the non-invasive lift”, uses safe, time-tested ultrasound energy to non-invasively lift and tighten sagging skin of the face, décolletage, brow, cheeks, and neck.
What You Can Expect
Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver the right amount of ultrasound energy at the right depths and the right temperature. This energy triggers a natural response under the skin, jump-starting the regenerative process that produces brand-new collagen.
Before your Ultherapy appointment, we will cleanse and mark your skin so that we have a blueprint for treatment. You will recline comfortably on a medical table, and we will apply gel to the Ultherapy handheld device.
This device will be applied directly to your skin, and the level of discomfort will vary from patient to patient. Some patients only feel a bit of tingling, while some experience a more uncomfortable sensation. Please let us know how you’re feeling during the treatment. Ultherapy treatments typically take 30-60 minutes.
Although there is no bruising with Ultherapy, you may see some redness in the treated areas for approximately one hour following treatment. Your skin may also feel a bit numb in the treated areas temporarily (anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks), and you may notice some tenderness at the “bony” areas of your face, such as the jawbone and forehead.
Some patients see an immediate tightening and feel a lifting action after treatment; however, the real results appear over 2-3 months as the new collagen works. In order to maintain your results, maintenance treatments are available.
While Ultherapy won’t duplicate the results of a facelift, it’s a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for those not ready for surgery, and can even be an option for patients who wish to extend the effects of cosmetic surgery.
