Radiesse: It Just Gets Better!

Radiesse is a dermal filler used to plump the skin, and immediately works to add volume. Over time, the benefits of Radiesse continue by naturally stimulating the body’s own natural collagen. The formula is comprised of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres that are suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Once injected, immediate volume and correction are achieved, but the product continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres — leaving behind only your own natural collagen.

Is Radiesse Right for You?

If you’re in the Bakersfield area and you’re considering Radiesse treatments, it may be the ideal treatment for your aesthetic goals. Those who make excellent candidates for Radiesse are individuals who want natural-looking, long-lasting treatment for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and volume loss. Those who are not candidates for Radiesse are those who are under 18; pregnant or breastfeeding, or those who have problems with allergies.

Where Radiesse Shines

  • Provides lift where the skin is sagging
  • Improves the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines
  • Gives definition to lax jowls
  • Lifts downturned corners of the mouth

What to Expect After Radiesse

Before your treatment begins, we will clean and prep your skin. Radiesse is injected through a small needle and placed under the skin. It has been FDA-approved to combine with lidocaine, an anesthetic for reducing pain during injections. The injections take 15-30 minutes.

Radiesse is a no-downtime treatment, so you will be able to go back to your regular day afterward. You may experience common side effects such as redness, bruising, or swelling, and the treated area may also appear unbalanced, over-filled, or lumpy. If this happens, don’t be alarmed — it will subside.

Results will be noticeable at 1-2 weeks and may last up to a year or longer.

How much does Radiesse cost?

We will be able to give you an accurate cost for your Radiesse treatments during your consultation with us. We will need to assess your areas of concern before providing a quote for you.

Which is better for me — Sculptra or Radiesse?

Sculptra and Radiesse are both collagen biostimulators and are used to add volume and fill in skin depressions. However, there are some differences that are important. The onset of results is different (Radiesse is faster); Radiesse is not as efficient for thinner skin, and Sculptra does not address areas that need lifting. During your consultation, we will address your skin concerns and your personal cosmetic goals. We will then be able to recommend whether Radiesse or Sculptra is better for you based on your specific needs.
