Everything to Expect with the Vampire Facial

A Vampire Facial from EuroPhoria combines the delivery of platelet-rich plasma with microneedling. The entire procedure typically takes about 60-90 minutes and includes four steps: the blood draw; numbing; blood extraction, and the microneedling treatment.

The first step is the blood draw. Just like at your regular doctor’s office, we will use a needle to collect a blood sample for you. This blood will then be placed into a machine to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells and other impurities. We will then apply numbing cream to your face. This takes about 30 minutes to work. Once your skin is numb, we will remove the cream and treatment will begin.

A microneedling device (an instrument that contains dozens of tiny needles) will be passed over your skin. As the device moves over the area, it creates micro-holes in your skin.

This causes your body’s immune system to immediately start disinfecting the holes, removing debris, increasing blood flow, and creating brand-new tissue. The holes are also reconstructed with new cells, new collagen and elastin, and a new network of blood vessels.

As the microneedling device is passed over the skin, we will be dripping the PRP from your blood onto your skin so that the needles help it reach deeply into your face. Growth factors from the PRP will help your skin heal while also triggering skin tissue repair and regeneration, as well as adding even more new collagen production. This process results in skin that’s firmer, more radiant, healthier, and more youthful-looking.

After your Vampire Facial, there is no physical downtime. However, there is typically social downtime because your skin will appear red/pink and perhaps slightly “scratched” looking. These side effects last 1-3 days. Once the redness goes away, you will see a beautiful, soft glow that will continue to look better and better over the following weeks and months.

A series of 3-6 treatments scheduled for 4-6 weeks is recommended.
